ThiemJason (“we”, “our”, or “us”) built the LogCatReader app as a free application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

Log Files You Open

LogCatReader reads .logcat files that you explicitly choose to open. These files are processed entirely on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or store your log file contents on any server.

Feature Suggestions

When you submit a feature suggestion through the in-app feedback form, we collect:

• The text of your suggestion (max 100 characters)
• A timestamp of when it was submitted
• The platform (Android/iOS)

This data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore and is used solely to improve the app.

Analytics & Crash Reports

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect:

• Anonymous usage statistics (screen views, feature usage)
• Crash reports and error logs from the app itself (not from your logcat files)
• Device information (model, OS version)

This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. It helps us fix bugs and improve performance.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Contents of your logcat files
• Location data
• Contacts or photos
• Any data from other apps on your device

Data Storage & Security

• Log files are processed locally on your device only
